Aging Out of Foster Care

Our Aging Out of Foster Care program focuses on those who have turned 18 and are subsequently dropped from the foster care system. Without support, twenty-five percent of them become homeless in the first year; fifty percent are unemployed during the first two years. BB4Kids is committed to helping these young adults transition into becoming contributing members of the community by providing job training, educational support, rental assistance and household goods in order for them to remain independent and free from becoming a statistic on the homeless roles.

What may seem like a small expense to an adult can be a huge stumbling block to an eighteen year old stepping into the adult world. Our goal is to assist with tuitions, uniforms, educational aids, transportation and job appropriate clothing.
